Terms of Service
Last updated: 18 June 2026
These terms govern your firm's use of PaperOrg for Business. By creating an account or a firm workspace, you agree to them on behalf of your firm.
The service
PaperOrg is a document-intelligence platform for accounting and fiduciary firms: it ingests documents, extracts and validates accounting data with AI assistance, and organises them in an access-controlled, encrypted vault with a full audit trail.
Accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your credentials secure, and for activity under your account. We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication. You must be authorised to act for your firm.
Your responsibilities for client data
You are the data controller for the documents and client information you upload. You confirm you have a lawful basis and any necessary consent to process that data, and that you will handle your clients' data in line with applicable law. PaperOrg processes it on your instructions under our Data Processing Agreement.
Acceptable use
- Do not upload unlawful content or content you have no right to process.
- Do not attempt to access another firm's data, probe or bypass the security or tenancy controls, or disrupt the service.
- Do not use the service to build a competing dataset or model from other tenants' data.
AI output is assistive, not advice
Extracted fields, category suggestions and VAT checks are AI-generated assistance to speed up review. They are not accounting, tax or legal advice. You must verify extracted data before relying on it or booking an entry — the interface asks you to confirm for exactly this reason.
Availability
We work to keep the service available and secure, but we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may perform maintenance and will aim to minimise disruption.
Fees
Any fees, trial or pilot terms are as agreed with your firm. Where no separate agreement exists, pilot access is provided as-is and may change on reasonable notice.
Suspension & termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach of these terms or a genuine security risk. On termination you may export your documents for a reasonable period, after which your data is deleted in line with our Privacy Policy.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, PaperOrg is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the fees paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Luxembourg, and the courts of Luxembourg have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer or data-protection rights.
Changes & contact
We will post any material change here and update the date above. Questions: legal@paperorg.com.
